We are currently recruiting a Team Leader Support Worker to work as part of team supporting six individuals with varying needs with Learning Disabilities, Autism and Mental Health needs in the Dorking area.

We are committed to Equal opportunities. We currently have a great opportunity for dedicated Senior Support Worker to work with an individual who has a learning disability, autism and mental health support needs 24-hour support throughout her day.
A service dog lives in the property.
Role Description - Duties
- Hands-on care, supporting the client with their daily routines, encouraging independence in all areas this will be achieved via the management of the rota. You would be expected to cover shifts as a contingency
- On call duty and working every other weekend (weekend hours are office based and on call in the evening)
- Supervise the care team, manage rotas and co-ordinate training based on learning needs
- Conduct in-house Induction Training with new starters
- Ensure outcomes of appointments are shared with the team and implemented in daily care routines
- Write and update Risk Assessments in collaboration with Service Manager.
- Ensure Risk Assessments are in place for all equipment used by Care Team in collaboration with Service manager.
- Complete/collate timesheets and communicate with Service Manager and Payroll team.
- Organise equipment reviews and book maintenance and servicing for all devises, this would include reconciling the client’s finances (money tin) and weekly fire checks as per Policy.
Additional/optional responsibilities (depending on the client and family requirements):
- Communicating with therapists, specialists, and consultants and co-ordinating and attending appointments, effectively documenting all communication and appointment outcomes
- Medication stock checks and prescription requests
- Medical supplies: stock checks and ordering
Experience and Skills Required
- Hands-on experience of supporting individuals with learning disabilities, autism and or ADHD and Mental Health.
- Experience as a Support Worker / Team Leader in a Supported Living Setting or Residential Home
- Working in a family/private home
- Excellent communication and teaching skills
- Strong administrative and organisation skills
- Computer literate and accurate record keeping
- Understanding and experience of PBS Practice
- Prior experience working with individuals with epilepsy or medical training in seizure management.

Schedule:
- 12 hour shifts – 08:00 to 20:00 / 20:00 to 08:00
- Monday to Friday
- Alternative weekend availability
- Overtime
