Social Worker Family Support & Safeguarding Service

Location: Lewisham, London

Rate: £37.00 per hour

We are currently seeking an experienced Social Worker to join the Lewisham Family Support & Safeguarding Service. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic, supportive team focused on improving outcomes for children, young people, and families in need of safeguarding and family support services.

Responsibilities:

• Manage a caseload of children and families, ensuring appropriate intervention, safeguarding, and support are provided.
• Conduct assessments, write reports, and prepare for court hearings as necessary.
• Work with families to develop and implement care plans that promote the safety and welfare of children.
• Collaborate with partner agencies to ensure effective service delivery and the best outcomes for children.
• Provide professional guidance and support to colleagues where necessary.

Requirements:

• A qualified Social Worker (CQSW, DipSW, or equivalent).
• Registration with Social Work England.
• Extensive experience in Children s Social Work, specifically in safeguarding and family support.
• Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Full, current driving license and access to a vehicle (desirable).
