Are you looking for a worthwhile job with hours that work for you? Do you want a job where your influence will continue long after your shift ends?
You will be joining a team who will support three men with learning disabilities with will who live in their own home in Shrewsbury. They haven't moved in yet so you will be there to make the next stage of their lives as fulfilling as possible. Like all people about to embark on a big change, they are bound to be feeling both excited and nervous. You and the team will help to make the transition as smooth as possible and support them through the challenges in adapting to their new environment.
As you get to know them as individuals you will start to build a routine of activities that allows them to lead gloriously ordinary lives.
What we can guarantee is that no two days will be the same.
Join us as a Relief Support Worker, we provide support 24 hours a day seven days per week so we can probably offer the hours that suit you.
How Relief hours work
It's a bit like a zero hour contract but without the bad bits.
About you
Experience isn’t always necessary but if you have an awareness of autism that could be a huge benefit. If you have the right attitude, good customer service skills, share our values and are willing to learn, you’re likely to be a great fit. We are looking for people who celebrate differences, and we strive to make all our staff feel included, valued and respected.
Although it would be desirable for you to hold a full UK driving licence, this is not an essential job requirement.
