Job Summary: Charity Fundraiser

Wirral, Merseyside

£30 - 35k basic salary, plus benefits


Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Income Generation: Raise funds to meet charity goals.
  • Fundraising Management: Oversee individual fundraising activities (regular giving, one-off donations, major donors, corporate donations) to ensure sustainable income.
  • Campaign Leadership: Collaborate with the Communications and Data team to plan and execute impactful campaigns across various channels (social media, website, email, mail) to attract new donors.
  • Stewardship Program: Develop and manage programs to engage new, existing, and past supporters.
  • Storytelling and Impact: Communicate the charity’s mission and value to potential supporters through impactful storytelling.
  • Innovation: Drive and implement new individual giving initiatives to maximize income and awareness.
  • Collaboration: Work with fundraising colleagues to achieve strategic aims, focusing on increasing income, reducing attrition, improving retention, and enhancing impact.
  • Opportunity Maximization: Identify and share ideas, information, and contacts to maximize opportunities.
  • CRM Management: Manage fundraising activities through CRM, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with the Data Protection Act.
  • Community Representation: Serve as the face of the charity within the community.


Ideal Candidate Profile:

Experience:

  • Proven track record of successful fundraising from individuals at a charity.
  • Demonstrated success in income management and meeting targets.
  • Ability to manage a varied workload, take initiative, and meet conflicting deadlines.
  • Experience in producing high-quality written work.
  • Ability to collaborate with staff at all levels.
  • Experience in developing and delivering fundraising strategies.
  • Knowledge of database use for segmentation, testing, response analysis, and CRM systems.
