We have vacancies for 2 experienced support workers level 2. As a key worker, we expect you to establish positive relationships and offer practical and emotional support to the people within their own homes who use our services

What we are looking for

The successful candidates will be able to demonstrate a mature and caring attitude and possess excellent listening and communication skills. You should already have experience of working in the field of mental health or social care, and must be able to demonstrate a degree of skill in report writing, assessing client need and developing professional support plans. SVQ Level II in Social Care or equivalent is highly desirable. Whatever your background, a flexible caring approach combined with good practical skills will be essential. In this role, your attitude and personality matter as much as your skills and previous experiences. Respect and dignity for the people who use our services is at the heart of everything we do. You do not need any specific qualifications at first, but what you do need is the right attitude and values. We will ask you to join the Protecting Vulnerable

Groups (PVG) membership scheme, and register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC). We are looking for people with great people skills who are honest, reliable and resilient in challenging situations.

The role would suit a caring, confident and resourceful individual who is able to operate autonomously and be comfortable communicating and contributing to multi-disciplinary discussions.

You should be flexible in the hours you are available to work. Our service currently operates 9am to 6pm including weekends.

What we will provide for you

You will work in a supportive environment and will be provided with a full induction and training opportunities. You will be given the chance to develop your knowledge and skills, as well as develop professionally. Some of our benefits include;

  • Fully funded SVQ qualification to meet the conditions of your SSSC registration
  • Reimbursement of PVG, Disclosure & SSSC annual fees and registration costs.
  • Funded continuous learning and development opportunities, access to over 100 courses online in addition to classroom and virtual training sessions
  • 30 days annual leave rising to 33 after 5 years’ service
  • 4 public holidays
  • 2 paid wellbeing days off per year to use on what matters to you
