We are thrilled to announce the launch of our brand-new accessible house in Pennyland—our first in this unique, inclusive community. Designed specifically for adults with learning disabilities who may also have physical or age-related needs, this new home represents an exciting chapter in CMK’s growth and a chance to pioneer a truly person-centred service.

About the Role:

We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced House Coordinator to lead the opening and day-to-day management of this new house. This is a rare and exciting opportunity to build a service from the ground up, ensuring it provides outstanding care and support for residents while fostering a warm, homely environment.

As House Coordinator, you will:

  • Lead the establishment of the new house, including working collaboratively with the senior team to develop care plans, recruit staff, and create a supportive culture
  • Oversee all aspects of care delivery, ensuring residents’ physical, emotional, and social needs are met with dignity and respect
  • Provide hands-on leadership to a small team of support workers, including organising rotas and supporting staff development
  • Take responsibility for the house’s regulatory compliance, ensuring it meets all relevant CQC standards
  • Work closely with families and external professionals to deliver person-centred, high-quality care
  • Participate in evening, weekend, and on-call responsibilities as part of the role

About You:

The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of experience, dedication, and passion for providing exceptional care.

You will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years management experience in a care setting, ideally within a service for adults with learning disabilities, older adults, or those with physical disabilities
  • Experience in supporting individuals with complex needs, including physical disabilities and age-related conditions
  • A proven track record of leading and motivating staff teams to deliver excellent outcomes
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Health and Social Care Act and CQC regulations
  • Ideally, experience in setting up new services and managing change effectively
  • Qualified to at least NVQ Level 3 and either in possession of, or willing to commit to completing, Level 5

What We Offer:

  • The opportunity to shape and lead a brand-new service in an organisation with a strong community ethos
  • A rich social and cultural environment
  • A supportive and inclusive working environment where your contributions are valued

Competitive salary and benefits package including:

  • Company sickness pay enhanced SSP
  • Annual leave entitlement increase in recognition of long service

  • 15%Discount in our Café /shop for food and Camphill products
  • Free counselling service via a help line
