At Williamwood House, we offer specialised care for older individuals with dementia in a nurturing and secure environment. Our care home, set in beautiful grounds in Glasgow, features 34 single bedrooms with en-suite facilities, allowing residents to personalise their space. We work closely with residents and their families to create tailored care plans, ensuring each individual's needs are met. With a focus on community and engagement, our residents benefit from regular visits, social activities, and a welcoming atmosphere designed to make them feel at home.
We are seeking a Senior Night Care Worker to join our team at Williamwood House. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a team and overseeing the care provided to our residents, ensuring high professional standards are maintained. Key duties include assessing service users' needs, supervising staff, and promoting equality and effective communication within the team.
You will also assist with staff recruitment, training, and performance management, while ensuring a supportive and safe environment for both residents and staff. Additionally, you will provide management cover when needed, lead nightly briefings, and handle Health & Safety responsibilities. Your leadership and organisational skills will be crucial in delivering exceptional care and maintaining a well-run service.
Candidates should have an HNC in Social Care or SVQ 3 and be working towards a management qualification, with relevant experience and basic computer skills. As this role requires working within a Christian ethos, you must have a Christian faith. PVG Scheme membership and SSSC registration are required.
We also offer you a range of benefits that you would expect from an organisation that support others.
Firstly, there is access to a wide range of exclusive retail and leisure discounts through our rewards scheme and the Blue Light Discount card. We also ensure that your future and that of your loved ones is secured with a generous contributory pension plan and death in service benefit. Balancing work and family are made easier with our suite of enhanced family friendly policies and your health and wellness are prioritised with access to our health cash plan, giving you cash back for a wide range of health treatments. We even have access to a care concierge service to assist you with life's challenges, providing invaluable support when you need it most.
But we also know that your training and development is important to you, and as well as a contribution to your professional membership fees, we are keen to support you in making the right steps to learn, grow and develop in ways that are right for you.
