What we are looking for
Experience is essential for this role along with your values. If you combine experience, empathy and good communication skills with confidence, a desire to help others and a willingness to learn you have all the main ingredients of a good Support Worker.
As a Support Worker you would be responsible for supporting one young gentleman who lives in his own home. He has a love for gaming, trains & going for woodland walks but alongside this the person we support also likes to spend time on his own in a quiet atmosphere, therefore you would need to embody these qualities into your role.
Here at United Response we are passionate about providing person-centred support, what that means is that your role will change depending on what the people we support wants to do. The gentleman we support in Radstock has a great character & mixture of hobbies and interests which Support Workers need to encourage.
Your role
As a Support Worker you will be responsible for:
As part of your role, you will be using a digital app called Nourish, where all care and support plans of the people we support are held. Experience of using a digital or mobile app would be desirable however full training will be given
