Young Carer Support Worker (Southend)

Salary: £16,047 per annum (£23,250 FTE)

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 25 Hours per week - Flexible working also to cover evenings and weekends as required 

Location: Flexible and hybrid working in Southend with community working 

We have an exciting opportunity for a Young Carer Support Worker to join our team in Southend.

The requirements of the role will include completing statutory assessments for young carers and providing high quality information and support including one-to-one conversations to identify needs with assessments and support plans; running support groups and activities; working with schools and partnership working to identify young carers in Southend. 

To be successful you will experience of working with children or young people. Either in one-to-one or group setting and demonstrate an understanding of young carers and their issues. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.   

The location for the position is flexible but candidates must be willing to work from community venues and have flexibility to work outside of normal working hours to meet the needs of young carers in Southend.
