Children and Families Pastor

Role context

Concord Church was planted in September 2022 into an exciting new neighbourhood in North Bristol, as part of the HTB network. We are looking for someone to shape and develop our offering in the church and local community, building links with families and schools to play our part in the evangelisation of the nation. We’re seeking the Kingdom of God in Brabazon, North Bristol and beyond. As a member of our team, you would play a vital role in making our vision a reality and contributing to the wider work of the church.

Working Environment

You’ll be joining a friendly, warm, and committed staff team, based in Aerospace Bristol, which is where Concord Church meets. As a relatively new and small team, we all play our part in building relationships and community with each other.

Role purpose

We’re looking to move our kids and youth work up to a new level with a new project covering provision for ages 1-18. The purpose of this role is to empower parents to raise children with strong and lasting relationships with Jesus, and to connect with children and families in the wider community to make pathways to faith.

The Children and Families Pastor will have pastoral oversight of primary school age children, overseeing the Sunday morning programme as well as implementing the vision of Concord Kids with a remit for growth and future development. They will also look to start new children and families ministries that look out to the community around us in Charlton Hayes, Brabazon and beyond alongside our stay and play toddler group.

They will build up a team of capable and committed volunteers, as well as supporting the volunteer youth team and potential future youth pastor. They will have responsibility for Stay and Play, and work alongside the Community and Social Action Manager to grow the ministry to families in the area.
