AAT is undertaking a change to its governance structure that was voted for by 95% of its members at the 2024 Annual General Meeting. The changes were made to reflect the values of AAT and the Charity Governance Code in 2020 that raised the bar in what Good Governance looks like. AAT and its members are welcoming a new Board of Trustees that will be at the apex of AAT. It will be led by a Chair, and joined by 11 Board members, including members and independent roles. It will be a skills-based Board and will ensure the new governing Board has the requisite diverse skillset to guide AAT effectively into the future.
AAT is now looking for its inaugural Board Chair, as well as Chair of its Professional Regulation and Standards Compliance Board and its Awarding Organisation Compliance Board. AAT is looking for experienced Chairs who have an understanding of good governance. Ideally, candidates will also bring experience in areas including qualification regulation and professional conduct.
