At Avante Care & Support, mealtimes are about more than food—they’re moments of comfort, connection, and joy. As a Kitchen Assistant, you’ll help create delicious, nutritious meals that brighten residents’ days while supporting a warm, welcoming dining experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Prep fresh ingredients – fruits, vegetables, and more.
• Assist with meal preparation and support our Cook/Head Chef.
• Serve meals and ensure mealtimes are enjoyable for residents.
• Keep kitchen and dining areas clean, safe, and hygienic.
• Follow food hygiene, safety, and nutritional standards every day.
• Help plan menus with input from residents.
• Ensure high standards of care in line with Avante’s Eden Alternative Philosophy.

About You 

• Environmental Health Certificate in Food Hygiene (essential).
• Team player with a positive, flexible attitude.
• Experience in a similar role and/or City & Guilds qualification (desirable).
• Passion for making meals that bring joy to others.
