Business Development Officer

Exciting opportunity to join Paddock Trust in a newly created Business Development Officer role. You'll lead on bid writing and funding development, helping us secure new investment and grow services that support local communities.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for a Business Development Officer who can help us identify new opportunities, secure funding and strengthen the organisation's long-term sustainability.

This is a role with genuine scope to make your mark. Working closely with senior leaders and delivery teams, you'll research funding opportunities, develop high-quality bids and tenders, and help transform ideas into funded projects that benefit communities across Kirklees and West Yorkshire.

What you'll be doing

• Identifying and researching funding, grant and tender opportunities.
• Writing compelling bids, funding applications and proposals.
• Working with colleagues to gather evidence, outcomes and impact data.
• Building positive relationships with funders, commissioners and partners.
• Supporting the development of new projects and income-generating opportunities.
• Maintaining a pipeline of funding opportunities and coordinating submissions.
• Contributing to the long-term growth and sustainability of Paddock Trust.

This role could be for you if

• You have experience in bid writing, fundraising, tender writing or business development.
• You can write clearly, persuasively and to a high standard.
• You enjoy researching opportunities and developing strong applications.
• You can build effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
• You are organised, proactive and able to manage multiple deadlines.

Please note: This part-time role is offered at 22.5 hours per week, with a salary of £20,476 to £23,242 per annum (pro rata), based on a full-time equivalent salary of £33,669 to £38,220.
